Jamshedpur, Sept 24: Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (VCRS), South Eastern Railway Zone, Kamal Kishore Sinha, carried out an extensive inspection of Tatanagar railway station and nearby areas on Wednesday. The primary objective of his visit was to assess the safety infrastructure and resources used in railway operations.
The CCRS began his inspection at Tatanagar with a detailed review of the accident relief train and related arrangements. Railway officials briefed him on safety standards, disaster management preparedness, and the availability of infrastructure.
They also explained how emergency relief operations are conducted, supported by machinery, equipment, and specialized teams. As part of the visit, Sinha inspected the Haldipokhar railway halt and its adjoining yard. He evaluated freight loading and unloading facilities, safety protocols, and track conditions.
He also instructed officials to conduct regular checks and ensure that safety measures are never compromised. Later, the inspection team moved towards Badampahar, with plans to carry out a station-by-station review from Tatanagar to Badampahar.
The evaluation will cover operational systems, signaling, safety equipment, and track quality at each station.Senior officials from various departments, including the ADRM of Chakradharpur Division, accompanied the CCRS.
Railway authorities believe that this inspection will not only strengthen safety standards but also enhance operational efficiency and ensure better facilities for passengers.
