Jamshedpur, August 3: Allegations of police brutality have surfaced in Jamshedpur, where two eunuchs claim they were brutally beaten by officers at the Bagbeda police station. The incident reportedly began on the night of August 1, following a dispute between the eunuchs and police personnel at Tatanagar railway station. The matter escalated to the police station, where the station in-charge had called the eunuchs for discussion.

According to reports, while the eunuchs were at the station, police officers and jawans subjected them to severe physical assault. The victims, displaying visible injuries, have now approached the District Superintendent of Police’s office seeking justice.

The eunuch community is demanding stringent action against the involved officers, threatening a major protest if their grievances are not addressed promptly.

  1. Instead of any policeman’s motto being “To serve and protect”, it has been misconstrued as “To threaten and abuse”. No citizen holds the cops of this country in high esteem. Their behaviour has brought this disrepute to this force.
