Jamshedpur: People suffer as water supply disrupted in Mango

Jamshedpur, May 22: Water supply has been interrupted for the last 10 days in Rebate Colony of Ward No. 9 under Mango Municipal Corporation.

People are facing a lot of problems for water in the scorching heat. Colony resident Rakesh Kumar said that for the last 10 days, complaints have been made to Municipal Corporation’s Assistant Engineer Santosh Kumar, City Manager Rahul Kumar and Jitendra Kumar. But till date no hearing has taken place.

At the same time, the pipe of the water tower built on a small scale by deep boring in Rebate Colony has been lying defective for several months. People have to carry water from bucket under compulsion.

On the other hand, Savitri Devi, a resident of the colony, says that the corporation takes money every month for water, but the water supply has stopped for the last 10 days. Even after its complaint, there is no hearing with the corporation. We are facing trouble for water in summer and the department is sleeping peacefully.

Vidya Yadav, a resident of Rebate Colony, says that it has become our destiny to struggle for water as soon as we wake up in the morning. Often the problem of water persists in this area. The corporation is not making any effort till now for its permanent solution. Due to which the people of the colony are facing problems.
