Seminar on skill development at Jamshedpur Women’s University

Jamshedpur, May 22 : Following Jamshedpur Women’s University vice-chancellor (Dr) Anjila Gupta had assured to provide education to the girl students of the university by linking it with skill development and employment.

The university had started various types of vocational diploma add on courses. Apart from this, she also talked about regularly conducting other types of awareness programs by joining ‘Skill India’. Taking cognizance of this, the Placement, Counseling and Training Cell of the University organized a seminar for girl students to inform them about various skill development programs under National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) – Skill India.

This program will help girl students to get employment in various sectors of the economy. Altogether more than 100 girl students were present in the seminar.

According to the girl students, the seminar was interactive and job-preparing. It not only exposed them to skill development programmes, but also exposed them to various ways to strengthen their CV.

Dr. Kamini and Dr. Ratna Mitra, members of the Placement Counseling and Training Cell, were instrumental in organizing this interactive seminar.
