Jamshedpur: Padma Shri Guru Shashadhar conducts workshop in Bengaluru

Seraikela, May 31: Padma Shri Guru Shashadhar Acharya, the famed Saraikela Chhau exponent was invited to attend a five day international convention organized by the Spic Macay Foundation at the Alliance University in Bengaluru. He was accompanied by Chhau Nritya Bichitra’s Joint Director Ranjit Kumar Acharya. The famous exponent of Chhau Nritya of the Saraikela School, Padma Shri Guru Shashadhar Acharya conducted a workshop for international participants at the Convention.

The five day convention organized by Spic Macay Foundation at Alliance University in Bengaluru included workshops on five disciplines of Indian art. Padma Shri Guru Shashadhar Acharya and Ranjit Kumar Acharya imparted training on the intricacies, development, styles of physical movement, rhythms and thematic presentations along with the history of this art form, its conceptions and presentations. The workshop that commenced on May 28 will continue till June 4.
