Jamshedpur, Jan 17: Land dealer Shabbir of Zakirnagar Road No 10 was buried at Zakirnagar Kabristan on Tuesday. He was shot dead by criminals Friday late night. A large number of people were present during the funeral procession. Shops in Bawangora at Mango remained closed since morning.
The family members demanded that the killers of Shabbir be arrested at the earliest. They said the named accused were still at large.
Police said they were looking into all possible angles that led to Shabbir’s murder. Shabbir was helping a local auto-rickshaw driver Shahzad who was stabbed on Thursday last near Bawangora Chowk.
A land dispute in Kapali is also being linked to his murder, sources said.
