Jamshedpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers and office-bearers from various parts of the country paid homage to former RSS Sarsanghchalak Kuppahalli Sitaramayya Sudarshan on his birth anniversary through a virtual tribute meeting organized via Zoom. The programme witnessed participation from RSS functionaries and members representing several states, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and others.
The online gathering served as an occasion to remember Sudarshan Ji’s contributions to nation-building, social harmony, cultural preservation, and organizational development.
Leaders from multiple states participate
The programme was attended by RSS youth wing National Member Chandra Pathak, along with Venkata Ramana Reddy from Andhra Pradesh, Tarun Kumar from Karnataka, Rohit from Uttar Pradesh, and several senior RSS members and karyakartas from different regions of the country.
The meeting began with a two-minute tribute in memory of Sudarshan Ji, during which participants paid their respects and reflected on his life and legacy.
Remembering Sudarshan Ji’s vision
Speakers highlighted Sudarshan Ji’s lifelong dedication to the nation and his efforts to strengthen society through the principles of self-reliance, discipline, social cohesion, and cultural values. They noted that his leadership and vision continue to inspire generations of volunteers working in various spheres of social and national development.
Participants recalled his emphasis on character building, national unity, and grassroots organizational strengthening, describing him as a guiding force for countless RSS workers across the country.
Discussion on recent Ranchi incident
During the interaction, Chandra Pathak also referred to a recent incident reported in Ranchi, where two youths were allegedly involved in an attempt to throw petrol at an RSS office.
He stated that, according to available reports, local residents apprehended the accused, following which law enforcement agencies initiated action. He emphasized that if any conspiracy against society or national institutions is established through a lawful investigation, those responsible should face strict punishment in accordance with the law.
