Jamshedpur, June 15: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto expressed happiness over Railways decision to restart Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi Express (Train No. 18101/18102) from July 1. He said that during the last budget session, he took up the matter seriously and held discussion with the Railway Minister.
“General Manager of South Eastern Railway was also asked to clarify the situation and forward it to the Railway Board and during the budget session I spoke to the Chairman of Railway Board and asked him to restart the service in the public interest,” said MP, adding, “A large number of people from Punjab reside in Jamshedpur and they are facing huge difficulty due to non-operation of this train.”
Mahto further stated that during discussions Railway Minister and Chairman of Railway Board had assured appropriate decision would be taken in this regard as soon as possible.
As the date of re-starting of train was announced, MP Mahto expressed gratitude to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Chairman of Railway Board and General Manager of South Eastern Railway.
“I hope that in the coming times, passenger convenience from Tatanagar Railway Station will increase,” added MP.
