Jamshedpur, July 11: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has planned to open a free coaching institute ‘Veenapani Pathshala’ at his Baridih office. The institute would start on 13th July on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. Every class would have 20 to 25 students and would be held for two hours daily. A test would be held every Saturday. The students would also be given opportunity to write an essay on their favourite topic to hone their writing and thinking skills. This was informed on Monday by Saryu Roy at at a press conference.
The MLA said there was no dearth of talented teachers in government schools. But systemic faults and their engangement in non-teaching work affected quality education, he said.
Roy said the free coaching was meant to help poor and needy students. He further informed that he would organize the annual Ramarcha Puja on 13th July. He invited all citizens to attend the puja and receive Prasad till 11 pm.
