Jamshedpur, Dec 3: The newly elected MLA of Jamshedpur West, Shri Saryu Rai, has raised concerns over the removal of vegetable vendors along Dimna Road in Mango, urging the administration to make alternative arrangements first. Roy emphasized, “If these vendors are to be removed, they should be given space on Dimna Road itself. Many families in Mango rely on them for fresh vegetables daily.”

Addressing claims that roadside vendors contribute to traffic jams, he said, “The traffic congestion in Mango is not caused by the vegetable vendors.” Roy criticized the administration’s approach, suggesting that if encroachments need to be removed, the focus should first be on illegal constructions near the Congress office on New Purulia Road. He stated, “It’s wrong to make poor vegetable vendors scapegoats.”

Roy urged the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner to take the matter seriously and ensure proper arrangements for vegetable vendors in Mango.
