Jamshedpur MLA Saryu conveys resentment against raised holding tax to CS

Jamshedpur, July 4. Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai says that the way the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum has stayed the decision to increase the rent of Sairat shops similarly the government will also have to put a stop to the huge increase in the holding tax.

Saryu Rai says that he has conveyed his feeling to the Chief Secretary of the state about this and has told that there is increasing resentment against the government across the state and sought Chief Minister Hemant Soren to reconsider and rationalize it.

Saryu Rai said that there is a protest against the increase in holding tax across the state. Public pressure is building on the state government.

The MLA further said that in any state of the country, the holding tax is not determined in such a way as the procedure has been adopted in this regard in Jharkhand. It is astonishing that when the resolution to increase the holding tax came in the cabinet of the Jharkhand government, none of the ministers sitting in the cabinet asked the Chief Secretary, who is the secretary of the cabinet, or the Chief Minister, whether the holding tax should be linked with the circle rate.
