Jamshedpur shopkeepers thank administration for stay order on sairat rent hike

Demand inclusion of market representatives in inquiry committee

Jamshedpur, July 4: City shopkeepers under the banner of Jamshedpur All Market Association took out rally thanking the district administration and DC Vijaya Jadhav for putting a stay order on the increased rent of the shops of Sairat Bazar.

On the call of the association, shopkeepers of Sairat market gathered at Sakchi Aam Bagan Ground and latertook out a rally to Deputy Commissioner’s office. They also thanked all the public representatives who supported the movement.

Shopkeepers carrying placards expressed gratitude towards the district administration officials and DC.

The rally was jointly led by Association President Harvinder Singh Mantu and General Secretary Naseem Ansari.

Later, they handed over memorandum to ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal in the absence of Deputy Commissioner.

According to the memorandum, Jamshedpur All Market Association has urged the administration to include atleast 2 or 3 representatives from Sairat market in the review committee being formed by the administration.

On this occasion, Harvinder Singh Mantu and Naseem Ansari said that with DC purring stay on order on the increased shops rent the shopkeepers have heaved a sigh of relief and are confident that the further decision taken by the administration will be in favour of the shopkeepers.

Uday said that the transparency and credibility of the decision taken would be maintained if 2 or 3 representatives of all the markets of Sairat are included in the committee and the district administration would be informed about the exact status of all the markets. He demanded that since Sakchi market is very big, four representatives should be part of the committee.
