Jamshedpur: The outsourced nurses of MGM Medical College Hospital have accused their supervisor of misbehaving with them and subjecting them to humiliating and gross treatment, sources said.
According to sources, the nurses have accused supervisor Satish Kumar of misbehaving with them in an inebriated condition. “The supervisor treated the nurses of various wards rudely and in an insulting manner late at night. He also kicked at the door of the nurses’ duty room. He has used objectionable language against the nurses on several occasions earlier. The nurses are disturbed and shocked by his behaviour. They have demanded strict action against the accused,” said sources.
The accused supervisor, however, denied the allegations. “I was inspecting the wards as usual on Thursday night. Many nurses are often found absent from the wards during night hours. This causes inconvenience to the patients. The nurses are annoyed due to the inspection and hence they are leveling such fake allegations against me.”
The superintendent of MGMCH, Dr Arun Kumar said, “We have received a complaint from the nurses and we have taken it seriously. Strict action would be taken against the supervisor if found guilty.”
