Jamshedpur: Mango Municipal Corporation to Open 3 New Urban Health Centers

Jamshedpur: The Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) will open three new Urban Health and Wellness Centres to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and make medical facilities more accessible to citizens.

Mango Municipal Corporation Mayor Sudha Gupta announced that the corporation has initiated the process to establish these new centres and is actively searching for suitable locations. The corporation finalized this decision during its very first board meeting, aiming primarily to deliver quality healthcare services to residents right at their doorsteps.

New Centres to Open at These Three Locations

The corporation will set up the three new centres at the following locations within the Mango area:

  • Old Purulia Road in Waris Colony
  • Shankosai Road Number 5 (Shiv Mandir Lane)
  • Bawangoard

The government has so far sanctioned 15 health centers in the municipal corporation area, of which 8 are currently operational.

Rental Buildings to Fill the Property Gap

In areas where government buildings are unavailable, the administration will select rental properties to run the health centres. Meanwhile, authorities have completed the process of securing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to operate a health centre at Dimna Middle School (Hill View School).
