Jamshedpur, Dec 11: Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) launched an anti-encroachment drive in various localities of Mango on Sunday. A sum of Rs 5500 was collected in fine from offenders of various municipal laws. The MMC team found building materials kept on the roadside and also found a bike repair workshop using a part of road as its extension. The proprietors of these businesses were fined for violating municipality laws. The shopkeepers were warned against encroaching the roads and footpaths. They were informed that encroachment resulted in road jams and other traffic problems.
