Jamshedpur man dies after tree falls on him

Jamshedpur, April 23: In a tragic incident last night in Dhatkidih, located within the Bistupur police station area of Jamshedpur, a young man lost his life when a tree collapsed on him. The victim, identified as Sheikh Safiullah, aged 31 and hailing from Bhalubasa, worked as a baker in Sonari. While returning home late at night, Safiullah stopped to relieve himself near the blood bank when the unforeseen disaster occurred, resulting in the tree crashing down on him.

Passers-by rushed to his aid and promptly transported him to TMH (Tata Main Hospital). Despite medical efforts, Safiullah succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Originally from Purulia, Safiullah resided in a rented accommodation in Jamshedpur.

The incident has left the community in shock, prompting authorities to inform Safiullah’s family and initiate arrangements for post-mortem procedures. Meanwhile, Tata Steel UISL (formerly Jusco) has commenced the removal of the fallen tree from the accident site.
