Jamshedpur: Mango police arrested one Abdul Habib for allegedly forcing an Adivasi girl to undergo religious conversion and exploiting her for several years. The accused tortured the woman after marrying her following her conversion to Islam and also threatened to divorce her in case she tried to oppose his moves. Later, the woman reached Mango PS and lodged an FIR against Habib under Prevention of Atrocities against SC/ST Act and anti-conversion laws. The victim has been handed over to her parents, police said.
