Jamshedpur: Forest officials rescued two deer from the forests of Dalma on Saturday.
Sources said the deer were caught by several villagers near Badabanki, situated close to Jamshedpur. The villagers were planning to kill and eat the animals. A forest team was set up and rushed to the forest. Warning the villagers against killing the deer, forest officials took the animals in their possession and handed them to Tata zoo authorities. A team of veterinary doctors examined the deer at the zoo.
