Jamshedpur, Oct 21: The steel city came alive in a blaze of devotion, artistry, and grandeur as the Young Boys Club in Telco marked its Golden Jubilee Year of Kali Puja with a spectacular 22-foot idol of Goddess Kali that left devotees awestruck.
Towering over the pandal, the divine figure — a perfect blend of tradition and innovation — has become the talk of Jamshedpur this festive season.

The club, known for its creative themes and spiritual fervor, has outdone itself this year.
The gigantic idol, crafted by skilled artisans over a span of two months, depicts the fierce yet benevolent form of the Goddess in striking detail — her expressive eyes, flowing tresses, and dynamic posture embodying both destruction and protection.
The illumination surrounding the idol enhances the divine aura, making the experience one of pure visual and spiritual magnificence.

The puja rituals continued till the early hours of Tuesday, with thousands of devotees thronging the venue to offer prayers and witness the stunning spectacle.
The rhythmic beats of dhaks, the scent of incense, and chants of “Jai Maa Kali” filled the night air, creating an atmosphere that was both electrifying and deeply devotional.
For many, it was not just a celebration but a homecoming — a golden milestone in a journey that began five decades ago.
Organizers said that the theme for this year’s celebration was “Power and Protection,” symbolizing hope and resilience amid changing times. The pandal décor reflects this spirit — with vibrant traditional motifs, intricate lighting, and eco-friendly materials seamlessly blending modern design with cultural roots.
Speaking on the occasion, a senior member of the Young Boys Club shared, “This Golden Jubilee year is special for every member of our community. The 22-foot idol is not just a tribute to Goddess Kali, but also to our 50-year legacy of unity, devotion, and creativity. Seeing is believing — no photograph can truly capture the energy and emotion here.”
Crowd management and safety measures were meticulously planned, with volunteers and police ensuring smooth flow of devotees throughout the night.
Food stalls and cultural performances added to the festive fervor, making it a wholesome celebration for families and visitors alike.
As dawn broke over Telco, the radiance of Maa Kali’s idol still glowed under the soft morning light — a sight that reaffirmed why this Young Boys Club Kali Puja stands apart in Jamshedpur’s festive calendar.
In its 50th year, it is not merely a celebration — it is a testament to faith, art, and the enduring spirit of the city.
