Jamshedpur, Sept 4: In protest against the alleged false case filed against advocate Priyanka Tyagi in Hapur and the police baton charge on the ensuing lawyers’ protest on August 29, has evoked a nationwide storm of anger among the legal fraternity.
Following directives of the Jharkhand State Bar Council, the members of the Jamshgedpur Bar Association members registered their protest against the Hapur incident by wearing black armbands. During the protest, the Jamshedpur Bar Association demanded the immedeiate withdrawal of the case against lawyer Priyanka Tyagi and the suspension of SP Satyendra Sisodia. The Jamshedpur Bar Association members who participated in the protest included Ramjeet Pandey, Mithilesh Singh, Hemant Kumar, Ramesh Prasad, Akshay Kumar Jha, Rajiv Ranjan, Parmjeet Kumar Srivastava, Anil Verma, Amit Kumar Tiwari and other lawyers.
