Jamshedpur, August 31: Eminent physician, Dr Krishna Chaudhary who was undergoing treatment in the CCU of Tata Main Hospital passed away on Tuesday. He was 75 years old.
Under the initiative of Marwari Mahila Manch that has been running an eye donation campaign, the eyes of Late dr Krishna Chaudhary were donated with the consent of his wife, Dr Renuka Chaudhary, their son Saurabh Chaudhary and their daughter-in-law Disha Chaudhary. Eye specialist dr Ajay Gupta along with Taru Gandhi and Sita Joshi of Roshni organization aided in the extraction of the eyes.
Marwari Mahila Manch Jamshedpur branch thanked the Chaudhary family and Roshni for the noble and humanitarian act. Sushila Khirwal of the Marwari Mahila Manch of Jamshedpur said that the organization had been campaigning for eye donation for many years. She said that eyes could be donated after death. She also said that eye donation drive had to take a back seat for the past two years due to the prevalence of COVID during that period. But the campaign had commenced after the coronavirus phase she added.
