Jamshedpur to Get High-Mast Lights at Key Traffic Points

Jamshedpur: The Steel City will soon see high-mast traffic lights being installed at key locations to upgrade security and visibility.

MLA of Jamshedpur East, Purnima Sahu, laid the foundation stone for several high-mast light installation projects across the Golmuri area on Monday. Funded by the Department of Urban Development and Housing, these projects will be completed at a total cost of ₹27.24 lakh.

Strategic Locations for Better Illumination

The high-mast lights will be installed at key public and high-traffic points to ensure better visibility and security. The designated sites include:

• Behind the Golmuri ISKCON Temple
• Near the Namda Basti Kali Mandir
• Bajrang Nagar
• Golmuri Joggers Park
• New Cable Town
• The football ground in Security Line

Once completed, these lights are expected to significantly improve night-time commuting for local residents and strengthen the overall security blanket in densely populated areas.

Addressing the gathering during the ceremony, MLA Purnima Sahu emphasized her commitment to bringing development to the grassroots level. “Development schemes are being continuously implemented to strengthen basic amenities in the East Assembly constituency,” she stated.

She further noted that the installation of these lights would not only enhance the beauty of the region but also facilitate social and cultural events held at public venues. “Our constant effort is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every neighborhood and colony,” she added.

Following the ceremony, the MLA interacted with local residents to understand their grievances and identified several other necessary infrastructure tasks for future action. She assured the public that essential projects aligned with their expectations would continue to be prioritized in the coming months.
