Jamshedpur Jusco School South Park students take pledge to save environment

Jamshedpur, July 7: In line with the observation of 73rd Van Mahotsav 2022, Jusco School South Park (JSSP) in an earnest attempt to lend green touch to the school environment and sensitise students about their role in conserving it the students planted Ashoka trees along the school boundary to bind the soil and prevent soil erosion. They also planted Areca Palm trees. Over 50 saplings were planted in the schoolyard.

School Principal Mili Sinha initiated the plantation drive where she administered the environment pledge to the students. Chief Guest for the occasion Jiju Thomas, Senior Manager, JEM Foundation planted the first sapling after which students from Std VI to XII participated in mass plantation drive. 250 students took the environment pledge.   

Principal urged the students to take up social responsibility of safeguarding trees and nature in our surrounding and follow the principle of 3 R’s.
