Jamshedpur firing case solved within 24 hours, two arrested

Jamshedpur: In a swift response, City SP Kumar Shivashish has solved the firing case that occurred on Wednesday near Kendu Kocha, along the Swarnarekha River in the Ulidih police station area, within 24 hours. Acting promptly, the police arrested two accused, Sonu Sinha (25) and Karamdev Sharma alias Karma (26), and sent them to jail. Both are residents of Shankosai Ramnagar Road No. 1 and Shankosai Road No. 01.

The police have recovered a pistol, live cartridges, and shells from the accused. During a press briefing, City SP Kumar Shivashish revealed that the victim, Birsa Khalkho, was shot during the altercation. Sonu Sinha, a friend of Birsa, was also present at the scene. According to reports, the group was consuming drugs by the Swarnarekha River when a dispute arose over money lending. In a fit of rage, Sonu Sinha pulled out a pistol and fired at Birsa.

Following the incident, the police quickly apprehended Sonu Sinha. Further investigation revealed that the pistol used in the firing was provided by Karamdev Sharma, leading to his arrest as well. Both accused have been sent to jail.
