Jamshedpur, Jan 8: Jamshedpur FC’s young midfielder Amarjit Singh Kiyam turned 20 years old and the team celebrated with a cake smashing and cutting ceremony on Thursday, as has been the tradition over the last few years.
Head Coach Owen Coyle anchored the whole ceremony, like he always does and kept the mood absolutely lit up throughout.
Before the cake ceremony, the group of players who lost a fun training drill earlier in the day were made to sing a song on stage and decided to dedicate it to Amarjit by singing the ‘Bar Bar Din Ye Aaye’ song sung by the Late legendary singer Mohammad Rafi.
The cake was smashed by Amarjit’s teammates and also long time friends, Narender and Jitendra. The three have been together for a long time, ever since they played for India in the U17 World Cup.
A joyful Amarjit went around feeding cake to the staff and teammates and said, “I love my teammates and I love this team.”
