Jamshedpur: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) made a strong impression at the Defence Expo East-Tech Symposium 2025 held in Khelgaon, Ranchi, with nearly 50 entrepreneurs from Jamshedpur participating.
During the expo, members of SCCI met minister of state for defence Sanjay Seth, appreciating his support for organizing the event in Ranchi and learning about new opportunities in the defence sector.
President Vijay Anand Moonka highlighted that the expo, held from September 19-21, marks a milestone in Jharkhand’s history. “This initiative will open new avenues for the state’s industrial growth, particularly for Jamshedpur, and generate employment opportunities for youth, reducing outmigration. Entrepreneurs can explore ways to contribute to India’s self-reliance in defence production, reducing dependency on imports,” he said.
Vice-President Punit Kauntia noted that Kolhan and Jamshedpur host numerous industries capable of manufacturing defence products, presenting a significant opportunity to support national and state development.
The delegation from Jamshedpur included President Vijay Anand Moonka, General Secretary Manav Kedia, Vice President Punit Kauntia, Secretary Binod Sharma, and several other prominent industrialists.
