The meeting brought together representatives of Durga Puja committees from rural areas to raise their concerns and demands for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations.

He informed that a 31-point demand letter would be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner on September 8, drawing attention to the immediate needs. The committee will also pursue licenses for Puja committees that are yet to receive them.

General Secretary Lalan Singh Yadav said that like every year, all demands would be formally placed before the District Magistrate. He added that immersion ghats had been inspected and, keeping in view weather and water conditions, requests had been made for divers and cranes to be stationed at key points for safety.

The meeting saw wide participation, including Assistant Sub Inspector Rakesh Ranjan of Patamda Police Station, Committee Secretary Advocate Vinita Mishra, Joint Secretary Baldev Singh Mehra, senior members Ashish Gupta, Pawan Kumar Upadhyay, Ramesh Kumar, Vishwanath Singh, Manvesh Banerjee, Pawan Haldar, Rambabu Yadav, Sanat Banerjee, Bhavani Das, Kishore Kumar Mahato, and Prafulla Mahato.
