Jamshedpur DC, SSP inspect I Day parade rehearsal, Covid-19 protocol in place

Jamshedpur, Aug 13: The local administration is all set to celebrate 75th Independence Day with fervour. Final preparations are being made at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur for the main function of Independence Day celebrations. The last rehearsal of the parade took place today at the Gopal Maidan, which was supervised by Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. M. Tamil Vanan. 
After inspecting the parade, Kumar saluted the tricolor.

The senior officials gave important instructions for the district level main function for better implementation of Covid protocols. Deputy Development Commissioner Parmeshwar Bhagat, ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal, Director DRDA Saurabh Sinha, District Transport Officer Dinesh Ranjan, District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar, JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar and Police Officers were present on the occasion.

This year too, the children of any school will not participate in the parade. The parade will consist of five contingents which include DAP (Female/Men), ZAP, Home Guard, NCC Male and Police Party Band. Only a limited number of people will attend the venue.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that in view of the situation of Covid 19, all preparations have been made to celebrate Independence Day with fervour. Necessary guidelines have been given to all the concerned officers to ensure compliance of Covid protocol. The main event will be broadcast live on Facebook and other social media.
