Jamshedpur DC addresses citizens’ issues

Jamshedpur: In a bid to ensure quick and transparent resolution of public grievances, Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi personally interacted with citizens during the Jan Grievance Redressal Day held at the Collectorate on Friday.

Residents from different parts of the district presented a range of issues related to personal, social, and civic concerns. Among the problems raised were school enrollment difficulties, requests for school fee waivers, delays in receiving pensions, land disputes, family feuds, and complaints about drain water flowing onto public roads. Some citizens also sought help in accessing benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana, education loans, construction of school buildings, and clearance of salaries and experience certificates from private institutions.

Deputy Commissioner Satyarthi instructed the officials of concerned departments to promptly investigate each matter and ensure that necessary action is taken without delay. He assured those present that all legitimate demands and complaints would be addressed fairly and in a timely manner.

“The administration is committed to resolving issues within set timelines so that citizens do not face unnecessary inconvenience,” he said, adding that accountability and transparency will remain the top priorities in grievance redressal.

To streamline the process, the district has established a dedicated public assistance cell along with an online portal, enabling officials to register and forward complaints to relevant departments in real time. According to the guidelines issued by the Deputy Commissioner, every effort is made to resolve applications received through Jan Grievance Redressal Day within 10 days.
