Jamshedpur, Aug 17: A 32 year-old man, identified as Bhuku Sabar, allegedly killed his live-in partner Gulapi Sabar, 35, in Pagda village of Bodam late Tuesday night. He was reportedly in an inebriated condition.
Police arrested the accused and sent the body of the deceased to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination. They said a probe was on to find out as to exactly what led to the killing.
Patamada Circle Inspector Hiralal Mahato said the accused was in a live-in relationship with the deceased for the last six months. The accused often beat up Gulapi after drinking excessively. Yesterday night, he pushed Gulapi against an electric pole and a wall, causing her critical head injury. He also allegedly assaulted her with cane, he said.
Gulapi succumbed to injuries late night. She is survived by two sons and a daughter. Her husband Gaur Sabar died a year ago. After his death, she entered into a relationship with Bhuku.
