Jamshedpur, December 18: A couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in Khaparsai village of Tetla Panchayat under Potka police station of East Singhbhum district on Saturday evening.Â
No one was present at the house at the time of the incident. On getting the information from the relatives, they informed the police and the local village head. After getting the information, the police reached the spot on Sunday morning and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
Giving information, Dharamveer Sardar, brother of the deceased Karmaveer Sardar (23), said that Karmaveer Sardar was married to Angoori Sardar two years ago and they had a daughter. From the time of marriage, there used to be disputes between the two on small things. He had gone out of the house last evening. When he came back home, he heard the cry of his daughter. Karmaveer and his wife Angoori Sardar were hanging from the noose when they went inside the house.
Village head Shatrughan Sardar told that the family members informed him. When they reached his house, they saw that the dead bodies of both were kept lying on the cot. At present, the body has been sent for postmortem by the police to know exact cause of the death.
