Jamshedpur Congress leaders question Arjun Munda, Saryu Roy’s roles

Jamshedpur, August 25: In a press conference held late Sunday evening, Jharkhand Pradesh Youth Congress Committee’s State General Secretary Rakesh Sahu and District Secretary Raja Singh Rajput raised serious questions about the NGT complaint filed by former Union Minister Arjun Munda and the role of MLA Saryu Rai. The leaders accused Saryu Roy of focusing only on protecting his friend Arjun Munda, while neglecting the issues faced by slum dwellers, including those in Bhuinyadih.

Sahu and Rajput pointed out that if Munda had indeed filed a complaint with the NGT, he should be held accountable for it. They criticized the BJP for suddenly becoming active after Dr. Ajoy Kumar’s press conference, suggesting that the party’s actions were reactionary. Furthermore, they criticized the current MLA for failing to take any significant step towards the development of the area over the past five years, citing a lack of attention to basic infrastructure and educational facilities.

The press conference was also attended by Congress leaders Rais Rizvi, Afsar Chintu, and Ravi Raj, among others.
