Jamshedpur, August 25: Marwari Yuva Manch’s Jamshedpur Branch, Tatanagar Achievers Branch, Steel City Branch and Agarwal Yuva Manch Jamshedpur jointly organised the grand Cyclothon 4.0 on Sunday to celebrate National Sports Day. The event saw participation from over 350 people, with 250 participants registering for free. Special event T-shirts were provided to 100 participants, while the 250 participants received wristbands and participation certificates.
The Cyclothon commenced at Sir Dorabji Tata Park (Modi Park) in Bistupur and concluded in front of Convent School, following a scenic route through Bagh-e-Jamshed roundabout, Red Cross Society, Jubilee Park Gate, and DC Office roundabout. After the event, breakfast was served to all present. The event conveyed a message of unity and dedication within the social and sports-loving community of Jamshedpur. Notably, this Cyclothon was held simultaneously by 851 branches across the country, attracting over 1,50,000 participants nationwide.
The Cyclothon was organized in three categories that included children (below 15 years), men, and women. Winners in each category were honored with medals and silver coins, while those in second and third places were presented medals. In the children’s category, Yash Kumar secured first place, followed by Nikhil Singh in second and Jaiprakash in third. Among women, Richa Kedia came in first, Vatika Shah came second, and Sanskriti Sharma third. In the men’s category, Sayan Kachhap clinched the first place, with Rajesh Malik in second and Nirman Mandal in third.
Those present at the event included former Indian cricketer Saurav Tiwari, former MLA Kunal Sarangi, Marwari Yuva Manch Jharkhand State President Arun Gupta, SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka, General Secretary Manav Kedia, Treasurer CA Anil Ringasia, Vice President Rajiv Agarwal, Secretary Vinod Sharma, Marwari Sammelan Jugsalai Branch President Suresh Sharma Lippu, Manch State General Secretary Sarthak Agarwal, Conveners Vishnu Goyal and Mohit Moonka, among others.
Key contributors to the event’s success included MYM Jamshedpur Branch President Ashwini Agarwal, Tatanagar Achievers Branch President Anshul Ringasia, Steel City Branch President Praveen Agarwal, and Agarwal Yuva Manch Jamshedpur President Rohit Agarwal. They were supported by the secretaries and treasurers of all four branches, including Vikas Sharma, Vijay Soni, Alok Agarwal, Mahesh Bhauka, Prakash Bajaj, Prateek Agarwal, Rohit Agarwal, and Gaurav Agarwal, along with all the members of the branches.
