Jamshedpur: Under the aegis of the East Singhbhum District Congress Committee, Save the Constitution Day was observed as part of a nationwide program. The event was held under the chairmanship of District President Parvinder Singh, while Chief Guest Baljeet Singh Bedi inaugurated the program by offering floral tributes at the statue of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar near the Sakchi Old Court.
On the occasion, a large number of Congress leaders and workers participated and raised slogans such as “Save the Constitution – Save the Country,” “Who will protect the Constitution – We will,” “Insult to the Constitution – India will not tolerate,” “We will face lathi-charge and bullets – We will save the Constitution,” and “Long live Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.”
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Baljeet Singh Bedi and District President Parvinder Singh said that the Constitution of India is the foundation of the nation, created by freedom fighters and great leaders to ensure equality, justice, liberty, and protection of the rights of every citizen. They urged everyone to pledge to uphold and protect the Constitution on this significant day.
