Jamshedpur Congress burn Centre, Manipur govt effigy to protest women stripping incident

Jamshedpur, July 20 : Congress supporters burnt effigy of BJP government at Centre and Manipur in Kadma to protest the heinous act of stripping women in Manipur.

Executive district president Congress Dharmendra Sonkar said that the whole country is ashamed after seeing the video of the incident in Manipur.

“The person calling himself Vishwaguru spoke on Manipur only for 36 seconds, when the Supreme Court itself took cognizance. The silence of the Prime Minister even after over 70 days of the incident is also surprising. This incident, which has brought shame to the entire country, society and humanity, is a very shameful proof of the gross failure and insensitivity of the Central Government,” said Sonkar.

He also requested President Droupadi Murmu who is herself a tribal to dismiss the failed government of Manipur immediately.

 It may be noted that this incident is of May 4, the FIR related to which was filed on May 18 itself, but this government comes into action when the shameful videos related to it are leaked.

District vice president Bablu Jha addressed that Prime Minister Modi spoke 8 minutes 25 seconds before the start of the session and he had only 36 seconds for Manipur.

“ Instead of speaking on Manipur, Prime Minister did politics by taunting Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh? The incident is 77 days old and the Prime Minister is getting to know about it now? The truth is that you are as much responsible for this brutality as the rascals seen in the video,” said Jha.
