Jamshedpur Class VIII student assaulted, hospitalized

Jamshedpur, Aug 10: Three youths allegedly assaulted a class VIII student of Hemkund Public School, Golmuri, on Wednesday. The victim, Charanpreet, was taken to MGM Hospital. He sustained serious head and limb injuries, sources said.

Sources said the accused persons were identified as Gurvinder, Dalvinder and Manpreet, all residents of Tuiladungri. The accused persons had reportedly called the victim on Tuesday evening and threatened to teach him a lesson. They assaulted Charanpreet with canes and rod, sources said.

Police suspect the incident could have its origin in the victim’s school. They said an inquiry was on to find out the cause of violence.
