Jamshedpur City SP directs increased patrolling and vigilance

Jamshedpur: City SP Kumar Shivashish has instructed police personnel to enhance patrolling efforts, monitor criminal activities, and maintain strict vigilance in their respective command areas. Addressing the PCR and Tiger Mobile teams at the CCR premises on Monday, the SP emphasized the importance of curbing loitering, drug trade, and other criminal activities.

He urged officers to immediately act on any information received, particularly during the busy picnic season, and to establish communication with citizens during patrols. This, he stated, would boost public confidence in the police and weaken the morale of criminals.

The SP highlighted the need to strengthen the city’s security system, especially now that deployment for assembly elections had concluded. He stressed maintaining effective control over crime through increased alertness and swift action against suspicious activities.

Special instructions were also given to the Shakti Squad to focus on women’s safety by regularly patrolling markets, crowded locations, and sensitive areas. The SP’s guidelines aimed to ensure both safety and public trust in law enforcement efforts.
