Jamshedpur, Oct 1: Cinema Maidan Durga and Kali Puja pandal was inaugurated on Friday in the presence of many dignitaries of the city. Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, state health minister Banna Gupta, former minister CP Singh, former MP Suman Mahato, Amarpreet Singh Kale, Bharat Singh and AJSU leader Chandragupt Singh jointly inaugurated the pandal by cutting the ribbon and lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The guests were presented with bouquets and shawl on behalf of the puja committee. A large number of pandal hoppers were also present during the inauguration.
Addressing the gathering, Raghubar Das said the festival had once again brought back the gaiety and hustle-bustle which was lost during the two years of Covid-10 pandemic. He appealed to one and all to celebrate the occasion peacefully.
Banna Gupta said he prayed to Goddess Durga for the peace and prosperity of the country and its people.
