Mumbai-singer enthrals gathering with feet tapping performance
Jamshedpur, December 4: Thousands enjoyed foot tapping songs belted out by Mumbai based gospel singer Sheldon Bangera along with tasting tribal delicacies on Sunday at Agrico Transport Ground during the Christmas Carnival cum Tribal Food Festival.
The day-long program was hosted by social organization Jharkhand Organisation Organization for Social Harmony (JOSH).
A total of 35 stalls were set up in the tribal food festival, which were given free of cost for tribal dishes.
Gur Peetha (Jaggery Pitha), Chilka Pitha, Madwa Roti, dry greens, Bamboo Pickle, Madwa Cake were the center of main attraction in tribal dishes.
There were also stalls selling Christian literatures, calendars, song books in different languages including tribal, Christmas decorations.
However, it was the songs backed by music and actions by Sheldon Bangera which kept the gathering on its toes.
Earlier, there were song and dance performances by choirs of different churches and tribal groups.
Jugsalai Assembly MLA Mangal Kalindi, Khijri MLA Rajesh Kachhap, Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai, DIG Kolhan Ajay Linda were the special guests.
Ajit Tirkey told that the purpose of organizing the Tribal Food Festival in the month of Christmas is to give a platform to the tribal youths who want to do business as the main objective is to take them forward and become self-reliant.
