Jamshedpur: Case of amputation of a minor hand due to hospital negligence reaches Banna

Jamshedpur, August 19: The incident of amputation of a hand of a 16-year-old Kishore Kali Sharma due to negligence of authorities at Sadar Hospital in Parsudih has reached state health minister Banna  Gupta.

The incident took place on July 21, it is alleged that due to the negligence of the management of Sadar Hospital, the hand of 16-year-old Kishori Kali Sharma, resident of Kitadih had to be amputed.

A delegation led by Sunil Gupta, Panchayat Samiti member of Bagbera Colony, went to the residence of Health Minister Banna Gupta in Ranchi and handed over a demand letter in this regard to his secretary Om Prakash Singh.

In the demand letter submitted, mainly due to the negligence of the management of Sadar Hospital the hand had to be amputed and demanded government job, proper compensation including all the expenses incurred during the treatment, ensuring action against the culprits, untrained nurses.

After being aware of all the things, Om Prakash Singh, the emergency secretary to Health Minister Banna Gupta, has said to wait till the report of the inquiry committee formed by DC Vijaya Jaghav comes. If this incident would have happened due to the negligence of the management of Sadar Hospital, he has assured government job, proper compensation and action will be taken against the culprits.
