Jamshedpur, Feb 24: A bus carrying 60 devotees from Odisha to Ayodhya met with an accident near Salbani in East Singhbhum. The incident occurred on Saturday morning (24th February) when the bus collided with a stationary trailer truck near Galudih. The devotees, including women and children, were en route to Ayodhya for darshan of Lord Shri Ram.

Six people sustained injuries in the accident, with the remaining passengers reported safe. The injured were promptly treated at Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Hospital. The front portion of the bus suffered significant damage in the collision. Subsequently, another bus was arranged, and all passengers were directed towards Jamshedpur.

Galudih police responded to the incident, providing assistance and transporting the injured to the hospital. The accident was attributed to the bus driver allegedly dozing off. The stationary trailer truck, damaged earlier, had been parked on the roadside. The collision occurred as the bus approached the trailer truck due to the driver’s drowsiness in the morning.

Medical professionals confirmed that six passengers were admitted to the hospital who were released after first-aid. The injured individuals include Ashok Dalai (50), Pitamber Sah (53), Saroj Kumar Nayak (29), Prafulla Das (40), and Shivnath (65) from Jajpur, Odisha.
