Jamshedpur, Feb 24: Jharkhand, particularly the Kolhan region, is experiencing a resurgence of cold weather due to brisk morning and evening winds, causing inconvenience to the residents. On Saturday, Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 29.0 degrees and a minimum temperature of 16.4 degrees. Meanwhile, Seraikela, including Jamshedpur, witnessed a mix of sunshine and shade.
Meteorologists at the Ranchi Center had earlier predicted the changing weather patterns in Jharkhand, attributing it to the impact of a western disturbance expected to hit the region between February 24 and February 28. During this period, thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds are anticipated.
An alert has been issued for several districts, including Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela Kharsawan on February 26. Further alerts are in place for Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar, Gumka, Godda, Sahebganj, Pakur, Dumka, Jamtara, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela Kharsawan from February 27 to 28. Thunderstorms accompanied by rain and winds with speeds of 30-40 km per hour are expected during this period.
The weather is predicted to clear up from February 29 onwards
