Jamshedpur, December 10:Jharkhand BJP has attacked the Congress party after the Income Tax Department raided various locations of Congress Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Sahu, and recovered cash worth more than Rs 300 crore.
On Sunday, BJP staged a one-day dharna in all the districts of the state regarding this issue.
BJP workers staged a protest at the Sakchi roundabout in this connection. They took to the streets and made the common people aware by holding a one-day protest against the corruption of Congress.
Senior leaders including Chandankiyari MLA and Leader of Opposition in Assembly Amar Bauri, former MLA Maneka Sardar were also present during the agitation.
The workers protested by raising anti-government slogans and carrying placards with slogans in their hands.
Amar Bauri launched a fierce attack against the Congress party. He said that the entire country is surprised by the recovery of such a huge amount of cash from the house of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu.
“During the Congress government, their leaders used to say that by sending 1 rupee from Delhi, only 15 paise is reached. The country is seeing that this 85 paise was used to fill the coffers of the Congress Party and its leaders,” said Bauri.
Amar Bauri said that on one side there is the alliance of the family party, where corruption, commission taking, looting and brokerage are guaranteed and on the other side there is the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is determined to root out corruption.
“Whatever has been looted from the public, every penny will have to be returned, this is Modi’s guarantee. Modi’s guarantee means guarantee of recovering every penny from the dishonest people. The Congress MP having cash worth more than Rs 300 crore is just an example of the corruption of the Congress. Nehru-Gandhi family of Congress is the most corrupt family in the country,” said Bauri.
He also accused Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand as a partner behind this along with top Congress leaders.
“There is talk in the state that this money is of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s and were meant to be shifted to his in-laws house in Odisha. When the in-laws got scared after seeing such a huge amount, they came up with the idea of keeping it safe at the house of MP Dheeraj Sahu. Meanwhile, the Income Tax Department raid dashed their wishes,” alleged Bauri.
