Jamshedpur, June 20: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders Sunday criticized the Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) Ajay Kumar for lodging an FIR against party leader and former district BJP president Rajkumar Srivastava.
District BJP president Gunjan Yadav and other party leaders reached Sakchi police station and sought information about the case lodged against Srivastava. He said Srivastava was booked under Section 353 of IPC. He said Srivastava had raised objection for delay in work despite having valid documents at Aam Bagan Maidan and had not obstructed any government work as alleged by the MVI.
Yadav accused the MVI of corruption and demanded action against him. He said the BJP would fight the case legally and would also lodge a case against the MVI.
The BJP leaders today convened a meeting to discuss the issue. They included Rita Mishra, Rambabu Tiwary, Anil Modi, Chandrashekhar Mishra and Abhay Singh.
