Jamshedpur, Sep 18: In the auspicious month of Ashwin, it is considered sacred to perform pujas to Sri Balaji. Therefore, Madrasai Sammelani today morning organized a Sri Venkateshwar Laksharchana in which the name of Sri Balaji was taken and pujas were performed. Many members of Sammelani took part in it. Later, Dasamsa havan was also conducted in Sammelani premises. After this, women members performed Sri Lakshmi Ashttottara archana. At the conclusion of the pujas maha arati was shown. All the pujas were performed under the direction of Sri K Pattabhiraman pandit. Later on the committee members distributed prasad to the devotees.
In the evening, Hindustani and Carnatic music program was held in which Shyamala Srinivasan rendered many South Indian, Hindustani classical and many popular Hindi bhajans. Her melodic voice has captivated the audience.
On the occasion, G Rammurthy, Chairman, Board of Trustees, G Shankar, Secretary, Board of Trustees, S Subramanian, Vice President, S Ramesh, Hony Treasurer, and committee members were present.
