Jamshedpur, March 8: After a prolonged wait of 22 years, the roads at Bagbera Colony will undergo comprehensive reconstruction, with an allocated budget of Rs. 2.34 crore. The decision was made following a meeting convened by Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar, in association with Panchayat representative Sunil Gupta and Panchayat committee member.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the road construction work, spanning from Bagbera Housing Colony Road No. 1 to 6, needed immediate attention. Assuring prompt action, MLA Sanjeev Sardar committed to initiating the road construction work without delay.
The Rural Works Department had issued a tender for the repair and construction of road numbers one to six, along with all branch roads within the colony. A 12-month timeline had been set for the completion of the road construction, aiming to permanently address issues of waterlogging and sanitation.
Acknowledging the persistent efforts of the Panchayat representatives, including Sunil Gupta and Deputy Chief Santosh Thakur, MLA Sanjeev Sardar facilitated the government-level intervention required to address the long-standing grievances of Bagbera Colony residents.
The deteriorating condition of the roads in Bagbera had severely inconvenienced residents, with non-commutable roads and drainage issues hindering daily life. Following the issuance of the tender for road reconstruction, the Panchayat representatives expressed gratitude to MLA Sanjeev Sardar for his proactive initiative in addressing the colony residents’ concerns.
