Jamshedpur, March 8: Jamshedpur witnessed a grand celebration on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri at the Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee (Food Plaza), Sidhgora, where approximately 2 lakh Shivlings were worshipped. The event was hosted by a six member team with Dilip Kumar Jha serving as the chief host and Rajendra Karna, Chandbhal Ji, Ravi Ranjan, Ravindra Mishra, and Mithlesh Kumar Jha as hosts.
Three Pandits jointly conducted the puja, led by Acharya Govind Jha, accompanied by Pandit Damodar Ji and Anil Mishra. The successful execution of the program was attributed to the commendable contributions of President Mohan Thakur, General Secretary Dharmesh Kumar Jha, and dedicated workers Aryan, Vikas, Shivam Bilas Ji, Devendra Jha, Pranay Jha, and Roshan Kumar Satyam Jha.
The event, lasting approximately 5 hours, included recitations of Sahasra Rudra and worship of various deities associated with Lord Shankar. Following the puja, a collective aarti was performed, and all present received prasad. Notably, dignitaries from the Mithila community of Jamshedpur graced the occasion, emphasizing unity within society as all present collectively pledged to uphold harmony.
