Jamshedpur, April 25: East Singhbhum district administration launched an anti-encroachment campaign near Shiv Ghat on the banks of Kharkai river in Jugsalai on Monday. Bulldozer was run over a land measuring 1.82 acre to remove encroachment. The campaign was led by the Circle Officer of Jamshedpur Amit Srivastava. Huge deployment of armed cops was made to control the situation. The executive officer of Jugsalai Municipality Jagdish Yadav was also present on the occasion. The encroached land is worth Rs 5 crore, sources said.
