Jamshedpur administration reaches out to Sabars in Ghatsila

Distributes warm clothes, blankets, snacks and study material

Ghatsila, Dec 14: A joint team of East Singhbhum district administration and ASL Trust, Tata, reached out to the 21 Sabar families residing in Basadera village of Ghatsila sub division on Wednesday and distributed warm clothes, study material, chocolates and a number of other necessary things among them.

The team met the 87 odd members of the 21 Sabar families belonging to the Primitive Tribal Group (PTG) and handed them the goodies. There were 28 women members and 40 children among the beneficiaries who welcomed the Good Samaritans with open arms and thanked them for their help and support in the winter season.

The villagers were given blankets, socks, monkey caps, sweaters and shawls among other things. The team members spent time with the Sabars for several hours and discussed their various problems. They assured to keep coming to the village again and again and resolving local civic issues.

The team comprised ADM Law and Order Nand Kishore Lal, DRDA Director Saurabh Sinha, Ghatsila SDO Satyavir Rajak, executive magistrate of Ghatsila Jai Prakash Karmali, Sumidha Goyal and her associates from ASL Trust and Ghatsila Circle Officer Santosh Kumar. Local Gram Pradhan, Mukhiya, Ward Member and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
