Jamshedpur: 589 families of Covid-19 victims get compensation

Jamshedpur, Feb 17: The administration has paid compensation to dependents of 589 people who died due to Covid-19 in the district. There are 215 applications under process, appeal to the remaining victims / dependents to submit the application soon.

Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department, (Disaster Management Division), Government of Jharkhand has received instructions for payment of compensation at the rate of 50000.00 (fifty thousand) to the relatives / dependents of the deceased persons due to Covid-19. At present, compensation has been paid to a total of 589 dependents in East Singhbhum district and payment of 215 dependents is in process. There is an appeal to all the relatives / dependents of the deceased person who have not yet been paid the ex-gratia amount from the remaining Covid-19, to submit the application along with the relevant papers / certificates to their respective circle office as soon as possible.

The application along with the following documents/certificates will have to be submitted to the circle office-1- Official Document for COVID-19 Death -CDAC Form, 2- Self-attested certificate regarding death from Covid-19. (Medical papers/Covid positive report received from the hospital), Self-attested copy of any one of the identity cards (Aadhaar Card / Voting ID / Passport / Driving License / PAN Card) of the person submitting the claim.4- Self-attested copy of the bank account of the person submitting the claim (account number and other particulars should be clearly mentioned). 5- Aadhar card of the deceased.6- Death certificate.
